The instrumental music program combines talented students from both Strake Jesuit and Saint Agnes Academy.
The chamber orchestra rehearses from 7:00 to 7:45 AM from Monday through Friday.
Throughout the year,the orchestra plays at school functions, liturgies and festivals including repertorie from master composers of the Baroque, Classic, and Romantic periods.
Strake Jesuit's music program is the only private high school string orchestral program allowed to compete in UIL events in the Houston Area.
Two times a week, the chamber orchestra combines efforts with selected
members from the Band to form the full Symphony Orchestra. Students
enrolled in orchestral winds and percussion rehearse on Mondays at 7:00
AM and Thursdays from 3:05 to 3:50 pm.
