Camp Features:

be learned and practiced regularly. It takes hours
of instruction to master the basic fundamentals
on which the game is built.
- Under the supervision of qualified instructors,
campers will be thoroughly exposed to all
aspects of the game and will have the
opportunity to practice these important
techniques daily.
- The Jesuit Football Camp will emphasize the
basic elements of:
- stance
- starts
- passing
- pass catching
- punting
- ball handling
- snapping the ball
- individual defense
- Physical development and the value of team
play will receive special attention.
- Campers will have the opportunity to evaluate their
performance through consultation with their

Camp Features:
- The Jesuit Athletic Camp is a summer workout
program for athletes of any sport. Athletes will
be provided technique instruction on weight
training, running form, etc. The workouts will
consist of strength training and speed
development. Agility drills are used to improve
the athletes quickness, balance and vertical
jump. The program aims to improve overall
conditioning of the student athlete and improve
his athletic performance.

Camp Features:
- The Camp has been designed to provide an
environment that will encourage the younger
players and challenge the older “veterans”.
The goal is to have all campers come away
with more confidence in how they approach
their rugby.

Soccer Coach at the University of St. Thomas,
current college players and Jesuit Alums.

Camp Features:
- Tennis players of all ability levels will benefit at
the Strake Jesuit Tennis Camp with an
emphasis on learning the fundamentals and
then using them in drills and games. Campers
will be evaluated on the first day and placed in
groups (Beginners, Intermediates and "Top
Guns") to maximize their potential. It is
designed for those who are interested in
becoming better players and who may be
looking to enter tournaments or play for their
school teams.

JESUIT CROSS COUNTRY 2013 SUMMER WORKOUT SCHEDULE - TBA
The Strake Jesuit Cross Country team will be busy running all summer in preparation for next season.
All incoming freshman & current runners interested in competing on the Cross Country team need to go
online to the Strake Jesuit web site (www.strakejesuit.org) or stop by the Athletic Office and pick up a summer
training schedule. It is highly recommended that all freshmen & current runners attend as many summer
team runs on the schedule as possible. Incoming runners must be physically prepared for UIL level competition.

JESUIT WATER POLO JUNIOR OLYMPICS TEAM
What is the Junior Olympics?
Held at the club level through USA Water Polo, Junior Olympics is the largest water polo tournament in the country
for players 18 and under. Junior Olympics is held by age and gender groups of 18 and under, 16 and under, 14
and under, and 12 and under boys and girls, plus a 10 and under co-ed. We plan to take an 18 and under boys
team this year, with possibly a 16 and under boys team if we have enough interest. It is important to note that
all players must be registered with USA Water Polo as Gold Members and affiliated with Jesuit Water Polo
(Club ID #17973) to play.
Teams must qualify to participate in the Junior Olympics. Each zone is allocated a number of slots in the
tournament, with most southwest zone age divisions having 3 slots allocated to them in the Championship and
Challenge Divisions. The Junior Olympics qualifier will be held at the UT, Austin Swim Center on Sun., June 9th.
Deadline to Affiliate with Jesuit Water Polo:
In order to be eligible to participate in Jesuit Water Polo JO Club events, all athletes must be registered with
USA Water Polo (www.usawaterpolo.org) as Gold Member Athletes and affiliated with Jesuit Water Polo
(Club ID #17973) before the Sunday, June 2nd deadline. The online registration form and $300 registration fee
must also be turned in.
Parent Interest Meeting:
There will be a brief parent meeting at the Strake Jesuit Pool for questions and answers.
Practices:
Practices will be held at Strake Jesuit in the summer, on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a 9:30am to 11:00am
and an 11:00am to 12:30pm time slot available. No practices 7/2 and 7/3.
Junior Olympics Qualifier:
Sunday, June 9th, at the University of Texas, Austin. We will enter as many teams per age bracket
(18U, 16U, 14U) as sign ups allow.
USA Water Polo Junior Olympics 2013:
July 26–30 - Orange County, CA
What is it going to cost?
Club Fee: $300
Junior Olympic Entry Fee: $100
Team Uniform: $80 (if you do not have a Jesuit uniform already)
Hotel and Transportation: $225 (per athlete in shared room)
Note that meals and airfare to California is not included in these fees. Airfare will cost about $350.
Only the $300 club fee must be paid initially.
Other costs, such as hotel, may change based on the number of participants.
