BACK TO SCHOOL INFORMATION
Welcome to the 2012-2013 school year! There are a great many things happening as we begin the year. Below you will find important information about programs, activities and events that you need to be aware of as we begin the school year.We are looking forward to another great year for our students and our school community.
NEW PARENT ORIENTATION AND COOKOUT
Friday, August 10 at 6:30 pm in the Parsley Center
Join us for presentations by key administrators as well as a Q&A session for new parents. New students will learn about extracurricular opportunities from moderators and coaches. We will have a cookout in the Moran Dining Hall after the presentations.
MOTHERS’ CLUB WELCOME BRUNCH
Monday, August 13 at 9:00 am in the Parsley Center
While new students attend orientation, the Mothers’ Club will host a general orientation and gathering for new parents.
FRESHMAN ORIENTATION
Day 1: Monday, August 13 from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm beginning in the Competition Gym
After a brief session will be held on campus in the morning. Students will then travel to the Strake Jesuit Retreat and Leadership Center for the remainder of the day. They will return to campus for pick-up at 7:00 pm. Casual Dress. Shorts and t-shirts allowed. Clean shaven and hair cut according to standards in
Community Life. A copy of Community Life can be found under the ‘Student Life’ tab on the school website.
Day 2: Tuesday, August 14 from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm beginning in the Parsley Center
Students will participate in the second day of the Crusader Crew Orientation program, receive their schedule, Green Book, locker, and be photographed for school ID cards. School dress code required. See
Community Life for guidelines.
TRANSFER STUDENT ORIENTATION
Tuesday, August 14 at 9:00 am in the Clay Center Boardroom
Orientation will include a campus tour, slide show, lunch, Q & A session, and matriculation with your class. You will conclude based on the matriculation day times listed below. School dress is required. See
Community Life for guidelines.
MATRICULATION DAY FOR UPPERCLASSMEN
Tuesday, August 14 in the Competition Gym according to the following times:
* Sophomores - begin at 11:30 am and conclude at 12:30 pm
* Juniors - begin at 12:00 pm and conclude at 1:15 pm
* Seniors will begin at 12:45 PM and conclude at 3:00 PM.
Students will receive their schedule, Green Book, locker, and be photographed for school ID cards. They will also have a brief class talk with the Dean of Students. Students should be in school dress code and be clean shaven with haircuts according to standards in
Community Life.
FIRST DAY OF CLASS & MASS
Wednesday, August 15th (Coat & tie required for Mass)
We will begin the first day of school with a Mass celebrating the Feast of the Assumption. Coat and tie are required during Mass for all students.
