NOTIFICATION PROCEDURES
There are two main, school-provided methods through which you will be informed of changes in the schol schedule - this web site and the Strake Jesuit Hotline (713.219.GOSJ / 4675).

This is the normal procedure for how the school handles any other weather related challenges throughout the school year.

The school's web site is hosted on servers in Kansas City, Missouri so, regardless of the conditions here in Houston, the web site will not go down. In addition, arrangements have been made to keep the site updated, again, regardless of conditions here. There will be a link at the bottom of the home page of the web site that reads 'IKE', which will be a link to a page with the latest school information. The page will include a date and time stamp so that you can determine when the message was last updated (even if the message itself does not change).

Dial the Strake Jesuit Hotline (713.219.GOSJ / 4675) and when prmoted, select '2' for Special Announcements. You will then hear a recorded message that will include the latest school related information as well. This recording, as with the web site, will be updated as needed.

In addition to these two sources that you can monitor on your own, should there be a change in the school's schedule, an E-Blast to parents will be sent with that information. The e-mail addresses used for that message will be the same ones used for the weekly Parents Friday E-Blast.

Among non-school provided sources for information regarding changes in the school schedule you can also monitor radio, television, and newspaper (online) sources. Should there be a change in the school's schedule as a result of Ike, major news outlets will be notified.
