Jesuit Football vs Elsik

Coach Fikac
The Fighting Crusaders took the field against Alief Elsik on Homecoming Night to open up district play. The Crusaders fell behind early 7-0 but would go on a 55-6 run for the rest of the game to defeat the Rams 55-13. In front of a packed crowd at Clay Stadium, the Crusaders were led by Sr. QB Bryce Fucik and Sr. WR Bryce Lanier, connecting for two touchdowns in the air along with all 3 Sr. RB's (Giacomo Valente, Devin Baylor, and Grant Jackson) all finding the endzone on the ground. Other notable touchdowns came from Sr.  WR Ret Thibodeaux and So. WR Cooper Fulbright. The Crusader defense built up steam throughout the game causing two turnovers (both by way of Nick Wachel...one fumble recovery and one interception), along with 2 very crucial 4th down stops. The Crusaders bring their record to 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in district play. They will be back in action next Friday night to take on the Alvin Yellowjackets at Alvin H.S. Thank you to everyone in attendance at the game...the student section was electric.

Thanks for your continued support!!
Go Crusaders!!
