Mrs. Melanie Hightower

Melanie Hightower earned a B.A. '83 in Religion, magna cum laude, at Duke University and a J.D. in 1986 with honors from the University of Texas School of Law.

Melanie serves as a senior consultant for The Jane Group, a crisis management and strategic communications firm working with independent schools worldwide. Previously, she served as an administrator at River Oaks Baptist School for over ten years and also held the positions of Director of Diversity and Community Initiatives and Director of Human Resources.

Before entering the field of education, Melanie practiced law for ten years with JPMorgan Chase and Locke Lord . She also served as Senior Vice President and Director of Corporate Diversity for JPMorgan Chase in Texas. Melanie was a member of Leadership Houston Class XIV and recipient of the Patrice Johnson Award.

Melanie and her husband Lee have two sons, Max '20 and Reed '22.
