Theater

The Southwell Players and International Thespians are the theatrical group at Strake Jesuit. The Southwell Players have been a Jesuit tradition for over 40 years. The Southwell players include both the boys and the girls from St. Agnes and other participating schools. They are named after the British Jesuit saint, Robert Southwell.

Strake Jesuit has been a member of International Thespians since 1998. Troupe 4970 recognizes the work and commitment of outstanding theater students. Students must complete the equivalent of 100 hours of quality work in order to be inducted into the International Thespian Society.

ComedySportz Improvisational Theater Troupe

Comedy Sportz "empowers students to create their own theatre and nourishes their communication skills through improvisational theatre workshops and performances. It encourages their individuality and provides the forum to succeed or fail in a safe environment that combines showmanship and sportsmanship. The League provides an extracurricular activity that goes beyond stage work into everyday situations. And the students just think they're having fun!” The Strake Jesuit/St. Agnes team represents both schools, please check the performance venue (S.J. or S.A.A.) before home matches.
