There is no class on October 16, but other programming is scheduled for all grade levels.
Freshmen will complete the PSAT 8/9 test. This test provides a baseline and good practice for college admissions testing.
Sophomores will complete the PSAT-NMSQT. This test continues students' preparation for college admissions testing, while also preparing them for the junior year National Merit Scholarship Competition.
Juniors will complete the PSAT-NMSQT as well. In the junior year, this is a qualifying test for the National Merit Scholarship Competition, with over $100 million in college scholarships available.
Most Seniors will participate in Career Day. Speakers from our parent and alumni communities will help students understand the career paths that interest them. Some Seniors are participating instead in the School Day SAT, according to instructions sent by the College Counseling Department.
