Brigadier General Charles Lombardo to be the Keynote Speaker

at the 2022 Houghton Award Dinner

The Capt. Andrew Houghton '97 Award is presented to a current Strake Jesuit sophomore "who best exhibits the characteristics and values" that Andy Houghton exemplified. Those include academic excellence, service to friends and the community at Strake Jesuit and beyond, an enthusiasm for life, and a determination to succeed. Capt. Houghton passed away on August 9, 2004 from injuries sustained on July 10, 2004 while serving in Iraq. He was a Captain in the United States Army with the 1st Squadron, 4th Calvary.

We are honored and thrilled to have Brigadier General Charles Lombardo speak at our event. General Lombardo is a Deputy Commander in the US Army Combined Arms Center, training at Fort Leavenworth, KS. Col. He was promoted to the rank of brigadier general during a ceremony on May 28, 2021 at the Frontier Conference Center. Originally from Park Hills, MO, Lombardo was commissioned into Armor in 1992 after graduating from Missouri State University. Lombardo assumed responsibility for CAC-T in July 2020 and prior to CAC-T, he served with the NATO Allied Land Command in Izmir, Turkey.
