Houghton Award Dinner

The Capt. Andrew Houghton '97 Award is presented to a current Strake Jesuit sophomore "who best exhibits the characteristics and values" that Andy Houghton exemplified. Those include academic excellence, service to friends and the community at Strake Jesuit and beyond, an enthusiasm for life, and a determination to succeed. Capt. Houghton passed away on August 9, 2004, from injuries sustained on July 10, 2004, while serving in Iraq. He was a Captain in the United States Army with the 1st Squadron, 4th Cavalry.
