Freshman XC Wins JV Race at Sealy

The freshman XC team dominated the JV race at Sealy scoring a perfect 15 points. The only runner breaking up our top 5 was not part of a complete team (at least 5 runners), so we achieved the lowest possible score in Cross Country. The Crusaders were led by Alex Montoya who ran a very impressive time of 17:20 in his first-ever 5k. He won by 49 seconds and was followed by Enrique Ortiz, Andrew Bowring, Tanaka Mukome and Josh Baltimore (sophomore running in the JV race alongside the freshmen). Grant Berry, Santiago Arellano and Noah Beckmann also went under 20 minutes in their first 5k, an impressive accomplishment in the hot and dusty conditions.
