Jesuit Hockey Defeats The Woodlands Hockey 6-1

The Strake Jesuit hockey team faced The Woodlands Hockey Club on Sunday night. The Crusaders came away with their second win of the season in as many games. The team scored 4 goals in the first period to take a commanding lead. Logan Graham ’24 started off the scoring with 2 unassisted goals before 5 minutes had ticked off the clock.  With 3 minutes left in the 1st period, Carter Kipp ’25 notched the team’s 3rd goal, assisted by freshman, Luke Depue '27. Kipp returned the favor just before the end of the period, setting up Depue for the 4th goal of the night in front of the net. Troy Brannen ’26 scored in the 3rd with an assist by Will Mihelick ’24. The final goal for the Crusaders was scored again by Kipp, with Depue and Jonathan Mathews ’26 getting the assist. Topher Smith ’24 had another solid start in net, giving up only 1 goal on 21 shots.
 
Our next game, scheduled for Friday night during Homecoming has been postponed so the boys can enjoy the homecoming festivities. The Crusaders will be back in action on Friday, Oct 13 at 6:45 PM at Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center.
