SJ Defends Home Turf

In the inaugural SJ Fall Match Play Championship, the Crusaders emerged victorious on a blustery October day at Riverbend Country Club. The Varsity A Team of William Suell, Will Gillette, Dominic Green, Owen Gibney, and Greyson Carr shot +2 as a team in the morning round of stroke play, securing the #1 seed for the afternoon matches in this unique format. When the dust (and rain and wind) settled, they had won four of the five matches against Second Baptist, Ridge Pointe, and our very own B Team (Ethan Bradford, Evan Criner, Preston Flowers, Noah Kim, and Rodolfo Maya), who finished 3rd. Our C Team of Jacob Leach, Nehal Othee, Sean Kao, Christian Ellestad, and Alexander Pereira also placed in the top half in the field of 16 teams. A very impressive showing all around!
