Congratulations to Gabe Gruenewald ’21, who was recognized for Community Engagement at the 2024 Staff and Student Excellence Awards at Texas A&M University! He stood out as the sole student volunteer award recipient!
In his role as Service Director for the Men’s Organization Iron Spikes, he coordinated over 20 service events this year to raise funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters! Additionally, he served as a mentor to a little brother.
Karen Story, Regional Director of BBBS, praised Gabe, stating, "The support of Gabe and the Iron Spikes organization has allowed the BBBS program in the Brazos Valley to positively impact nearly 300 children in 2023. Gabe has the rare ability to motivate others just through his excitement for serving."
