Mr. Greg Piper

Greg joined CP Energy in October 2014 with more than 25 years of leadership, operational and business development experience in the energy industry. Prior to joining CP Energy, he served as CEO of Gavilon Energy, a private midstream energy company, where he led the energy group’s spin off from Gavilon Corp. and then led the sale of Gavilon Energy to NGL Energy Partners. Prior to his role as CEO of Gavilon Energy, he served as senior vice president of business development at Gavilon Corp., leading the company’s growth initiatives in both agriculture and midstream energy. He has also held senior positions at Acon Investments, Prisma Energy International, Chroma Oil & Gas, Mariner Energy and Enron Corp. Greg began his career as a petroleum engineer with EOG in the Rockies. Greg received his Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering from the Colorado School of Mines and a Master of Business Administration from the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas. He and his wife, Joanne, have three children – Bryce ’17, Nicole and Renee.
