The Fighting Crusaders fell to the Lake Creek Lions by a score of 30-28 last Friday night at Montgomery ISD Stadium. In a back-and-forth game, Jesuit had an opportunity at the end to win it; just came up a little short. It was a very hard-fought game, against two very competitive teams. Jesuit's offense was led by RB Johnny Hebert '26 with 295 yards rushing and 3 Touchdowns, QB Jack Wegleitner '26 with 80 yards and 1 TD through the air, and WR Dario Contreras '26 with 27 yards receiving and a big two-point conversion to help the Crusaders pull within 3 points before halftime. The Jesuit defense was relentless all night causing 3 turnovers (2 Fumbles and 1 INT). DL MacGregor Byers '26 had 8 tackles, 4 TFL's, 1 Sack, ILB Cameron McNulty '27 had 9 tackles, 2 TFL, and CB Bryce Samuels '26 had 4 tackles, 1 PBU, 1 forced fumble and recovered the fumble. Thank you to everyone who made it out to the game and everyone who was able to watch it on the streaming service.
