Spectrum 3847 Wins District Level Chairman's Award & Students Named Dean's List Semi-Finalists

Spectrum 3847, the Strake Jesuit/St. Agnes robotics team, has been awarded the prestigious FIRST in Texas District Level Chairman’s Award for being an exemplary engineering team. The award recognizes a team that reflects sustained excellence and impact within the FIRST community, in its own community, and beyond. Throughout the year, they have communicated daily through Zoom and worked on team-based challenges, curated extensive online resources and documentation for the FRC international community, created a virtual OnShape course for kids, met with teams from around the world on Zoom, launched a new virtual FRC training curriculum, started a developmental team, and overall, had fun together. In addition, Mason Abrell ‘22, Felipe Martinez ‘22, Grisha Nikulin ‘22, and SAA’s Janet Garcia ‘22 have been named FIRST Dean’s List Semi-Finalists. The Dean’s List Award recipients were chosen based on their leadership skills, commitment to FIRST ideals, contributions to their team, and their effectiveness in increasing awareness of FIRST within their schools and communities.
