Strake Jesuit vs Jesuit High School of New Orleans

For their first game of three in New Orleans, the Strake Jesuit Lacrosse Program traveled to Joe Yenni Stadium Saturday, March 12, to compete against our brother school Jesuit High School of New Orleans. In a gritty game of runs, the Crusaders came out on top with a 9-6 win over the Blue Jays.

Senior Kade Cannizarro was awarded the Hard Hat for his continued effort, energy, and presence for his fellow teammates.  Junior Sean Connolly was awarded the game ball for leading the scoring on the day.

After the game, both teams gathered at New Orleans Jesuit for the celebration of mass and a shared cajun dinner generously cooked by the parents of New Orleans Jesuit. Players and coaches from both teams enjoyed spending time together talking about their similar experiences attending a Jesuit institution and learning what it means to be a brother in Christ.

The Crusaders will be back in action tomorrow, March 13, as they take on Isidore Newman at 3:30 PM. The game can be viewed with a paid subscription to Varsity Sports Now from the following link: https://www.varsitysportsnow.com/newest-releases/videos/lacrosse-strake-jesuit-vs-newman
