The Alumni Class of 2003 has won the first annual Br. Casey Ferlita S.J., Cup (The Casey Cup)
We are thrilled to announce that the Class of 2003 has won the first annual Br. Casey Ferlita S.J., Cup (The Casey Cup), cementing their legacy as the Br. Casey Ferlita S.J., Memorial Class of the Year. This honor commemorates a man who left an incredible mark on our community at Strake Jesuit, and we couldn't be prouder to establish this tradition in his memory.
Br. Casey Ferlita S.J., whose spirit and dedication continue to inspire us, left a true mark on this school. His commitment to the values of faith, service, and education has touched the lives of countless alumni over the years. In recognition of his influence, we have instituted the Casey Cup – an annual trophy awarded to the Reunion Year Class that best exemplifies the spirit of our school.
The Class of 2003, under the leadership of their outstanding alumni, has demonstrated an exceptional commitment to the principles for which Strake Jesuit stands for. Their dedication to faith, education, and service has shone brightly through the years, and it is only fitting that they be recognized with this prestigious award.
To celebrate this remarkable achievement, we have planned an event that will take place on October 13th, just before our home football game against Alief Taylor. The Class of 2003 will be treated to a cocktail reception, where they can reconnect with old friends. This gathering will take place in Moran Dining Hall with the reception starting at 5:30 pm.
The highlight of the evening will be a special ceremony at midfield during halftime, where the Class of 2003 will be presented with the Br. Casey Ferlita Cup. The Class of 2003 will also be engraved on the cup, preserving their legacy.
We extend our congratulations to the Class of 2003 for their well-deserved recognition, and we look forward to celebrating with them on October 13th!
