Rod Graves '77 Named Advisor for the Houston Texans

Rod Graves ’77 was named as an advisor in search for the next head coach and general manager of the Houston Texans. He is honored to help out in finding great leadership for the organization. Rod is currently the Executive Director of Fritz Pollard Alliance Foundation.

“I’m delighted for the opportunity to provide input into the Texans search. The team is reaching out to a group of very accomplished sports leaders. I am grateful to be among them. Let’s hope that results get them and the city what they have long aspired for,” Graves said.

He credits his success to his Jesuit education.

“I graduated from Strake in ’77. It is one of the achievements that I am most proud of. It was one of the best investments my parents could have made. Strake had a tremendous impact on my development as a young man and on my perspective about life and community.”

With Rod helping to advise the process, we are hopeful that the Houston Texans will be getting a great coach and general manager that will be a role model for all. We know that he will do an excellent job in the search and we cannot wait to see the impact he will have in the future of the organization.
