Auction 2020

 

Our Auction is a fun-filled evening with dinner, silent, big board and live auctions.  There are also opportunities to participate in a raffle and register for sign-up parties.  It is held annually every spring to raise money for Strake Jesuit College Preparatory.  This year’s event date is Saturday, April 18, 2020 and the theme is Crusader Cruise.  Once again, this event will be held on our beautiful campus.  The festivities will take place in and around the Competition Gym, but we move to the patio and the Dining Hall for the after-party!

The Auction was first organized in 1981 to contribute financial support to the school’s operating budget.  Today, proceeds from the auction not only help to grow the school’s general endowment providing resources for the future, but also enhance the current operating budget.  Funds that we raise support programs such as financial aid, student retreats, athletics, teacher compensation and extracurricular activities.  In other words, funds raised by the auction will benefit every student, every day at Strake Jesuit.

2019 Auction - A Night in Old Havana

Thank you to Stephanie and Josh Davis, the 2019 Auction Chairs, and our team of over 120 parent volunteers who helped to put together a fabulous event for Strake Jesuit!  A Night in Old Havana was a tremendous success for our school community, and a really fun night for all who attended.  

We are very grateful for the support of so many sponsors, underwriters and donors.

2018 Auction - Bow Ties & Bling

 

 

Bow Ties & Bling was a wonderful success!

Almost 600 people celebrated Bow Ties & Bling on Saturday night in the garden party atmosphere of the Competition Gym.  Guests snapped pictures at the photo booth mirror, entered the raffle, took a chance at the wine and whiskey pull, enjoyed appetizers and bid on silent auction items.  Dinner by Cordua Catering was fabulous, and was followed by a rousing game of Heads or Tails, and then the Live Auction.  Bidding was lively and the school's general endowment was the big winner. 

Some technical issues caused the Silent Auction to close unexpectedly and some guests seem to miss the end of the Big Board.  We are very sorry for this unforeseen issue! 

The new After Party format was hit…  We kept the Party on the Patio for the cigar-smokers, and fresh-air lovers.  The DJ and dance party was added inside the Dining Hall and it was packed!  Thank you to everyone who stayed to celebrate this fun evening!
 

Congratulations to Lisa and Steve Watson for putting together an event that was a tremendous success both as a community-builder and as a fund-raiser.
