Late-January and Early-February - Information Gathering
Students should carefully review the Curriculum and Graduation Requirements webpage and become familiar with the courses, policies, and procedures regarding course selection. Particular attention should be paid to graduation requirements, electives, endorsements, course offerings, course descriptions and policies regarding AP and AC classes. Additionally if students are considering applying for placement into AP and AC classes, they should seek out information related to their abilities and to the expectations of these classes from their current teachers, counselors, and department chairs.
February - Counseling Period Sessions
During February, students will meet with their Academic & Personal counselors during regularly scheduled Counseling Periods. At the beginning of the month, counselors will review our graduation requirements and discuss potential course options. Students will receive a hard copy of the grade-level specific course selection worksheets below. Once courses have been filled in on the worksheet with the help of counselors, students should review their selections with their parents and counselors.
