Mr. David Harvey, Jr.

David Harvey, Jr. was born and raised in Houston and is one of 11 children of Pat and David Harvey, Sr. (founder). David joined D.E. Harvey Builders in 1977 after attending Notre Dame where he studied Architecture, and the University of Colorado where he received a B.S. Degree in Architectural Engineering. 
 
In 1986, David became President and Co-Chairman of the Board of D.E. Harvey Builders, a company named the #1 General Contractor by the Houston Business Journal ten times since 2005 and later renamed Harvey Cleary Builders. He served as CEO of Harvey Cleary Builders, and is now enjoying retirement.
 
David is a current board member of Catholic Charities, a Founding Board member of Cristo Rey High School, the Co-Chairman of Asia Society Texas, the previous Chairman of the Board of Rice Design Alliance, and a Life Board Member of the University of St. Thomas. He is the recipient of the 2014 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the 2018 Houston Business Journal Lifetime Achievement Award, and the 2021 NAIOP Howard Horne Award, and in 2021 he was honored by the University of St. Thomas at their annual Mardi Gras Gala and received an honorary Doctorate Degree.
 
David is married to Mikki and he has five children: David, Ill ‘97 and current SJ Teacher, Christopher ‘99, Jackson, Cecilia, and Caroline.
