Mr. Ryan McGrath ’03

Ryan McGrath is a seasoned leader in multi-site operations, strategic planning, and executive management. As CEO and President of Asset Living, he oversees a team of more than 10,000 employees—orchestrating a full spectrum of operations to ensure superior client outcomes. Under his leadership, Asset Living has grown into the nation’s second-largest property management firm, with $60+ billion in assets under management. 

 

Ryan began his career in investment banking at Goldman Sachs, where he specialized in M&A and financing transactions. He is an honors graduate of Vanderbilt University—earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics while competing on the varsity soccer team. 

Outside the office, Ryan channels his energy into community impact. He’s a former Chairman of the Young Presidents’ Organization’s Houston Chapter, a Lifetime Ambassador for Texas Children’s Hospital, and a member of the Board of Visitors for MD Anderson (member of the President’s Executive Council and Vice Chair for the Institute for Data Science in Oncology).  

 

Ryan was recognized as a 2021 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year, a 2022 Most Admired CEO by Houston Business Journal, and a 2022 Globe St. Fifty Under Forty award recipient. 

 

Rooted in his native Houston, Ryan resides with his wife Meredith, children Stone, Tess, and Cade, and loyal lab, Gunner.
