Mr. Tom Caughlin '00

Tom Caughlin is the President and Chief Investment Officer of Jones Capital, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy and oversees the growth and strategic direction of its portfolio companies. In addition to serving on the boards of Jones Capital’s portfolio companies, including FV Recycling, Rockport Terminals, Dark Horse Electric, Alta Arbor, Foundation.ai and TRU, he works closely with management teams to drive long-term value creation and operational excellence across the firm’s investments.

 

Tom earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Managerial Finance from the University of Mississippi and an MBA from Rice University, where he was a Jones Scholar. He is a member of the Strake Jesuit Class of 2000.

 

Tom began his career at Amegy Bank, where he developed a passion for partnering with middle-market entrepreneurs. He later joined The CapStreet Group, a private equity firm focused on industrial and business services companies, where he served as a Principal and member of the firm’s Investment Committee before joining Jones Capital.

 

Tom and his wife, Sarah, have three children.
