Alumni Service Corps 2026-2027

Every year, Strake Jesuit welcomes back a small group of alumni who have recently graduated from college and have dedicated a year of service to the Alumni Service Corps (ASC). They live on campus, observe a class taught by a faculty mentor, teach one class, participate in retreats and service projects, and engage in various athletic and extracurricular activities. For the 2026-2027 academic year, we welcome Roberto Cortes ’21, Julian Puerto ’22, Thomas Tat ’22, Colin Vu ’22, and Ishan Dubey ’23.

Roberto Cortes ’21 is joining the Foreign Language department. He graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. While at Clemson, he worked at Cadency, an in-house student-led advertising agency. In his free time, he continues working in creative fields by freelancing as a video editor.

Julian Puerto ’22 graduated from Rice University with a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Sport Management and is joining the Health and P.E. department. He aspires to work in sports communications for teams such as the Houston Texans.

Thomas Tat ’22 joins the Social Studies department and will assist with swimming. He graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. In his free time, Thomas enjoys swimming, lifting weights, and rock climbing. His future aspirations include working in finance.

Colin Vu ’22 earned his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Texas A&M University. While in College Station, he served as an undergraduate research team lead at the Texas A&M School of Medicine and worked as a teaching assistant for introductory histology. Outside of the classroom, Colin enjoys talking about sports or visiting local boba tea places. He is joining the Science department.

Ishan Dubey ’23 returns to Strake Jesuit as a member of the Social Studies department and will assist with debate. He graduated from the University of Houston with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and a minor in Legal Studies.
