The Varsity Hockey team pulled out a gutsy, back-and-forth win against The Woodlands on Sunday night, winning 4-3. Darshan Patel '25 got the Crusaders on the board early off a feed from Bryan Graham '23, and the team took that 1-0 lead all the way into the third period when the scoring finally opened up. The teams traded goals throughout the period, but James Rheaume '24 put the team on his back when it mattered most, making two moves and firing a wrist shot with a minute to go, putting the Crusaders up by 1. James finished with 2 goals in the third period, while Bryan Graham added 1 tally of his own. Topher Smith '24 got the win in net, making 27 saves.
The team continues their season against Ridge Point next Sunday morning at Sugar Land Ice and Sports Center. We are SJ!
