SJ defeats Pearland/Friendswood

The Varsity Hockey team improved to 19-3 overall on Friday night with a win against Pearland. The Crusaders' 8-1 victory extended the team's ISHL win streak to 17 games with 3 to play before the playoffs. Misha Saratovtsev '24 stopped 19 of Pearland's 20 shots, picking up the win in net. Logan Graham '24 and Michael Martinez '22 led the team with two goals each, while freshmen Carter Kipp '25 and Harrison Swarts '25 each picked up a goal and two assists. For his shorthanded breakaway goal and for his dynamic play in all three zones, Ethan Tran '23 took home the game puck, but the highlight of the night went to Thomas Pawulski '25, who scored his first of the year after Sean Ahlgren '24 created a turnover and fed Thomas a pass. It was a great night for the hockey team, and we continue to appreciate all those who come out to see the games. We are SJ!

The team returns to the ice next Sunday night to take on the Woodlands.
