Jesuit sends 3 Wrestlers to the State Championship

After a grueling two day regional tournament, the Strake Jesuit Wrestling team will be sending three Wrestlers to the 6A State Championships. Seniors John Gabbanelli (4th 170lb) and Kent Stovall (3rd 182lb) as well as Junior Chico Holt (4th 220lb) wrestled hard on the backside of their respective brackets and will all be representing the Crusaders at the State Tournament at the Berry Center next weekend. Sophomore Jackson Ham (106lb) wrestled hard but came up short this year while Senior Colin Moore (145lb) ended his Jesuit Wrestling career placing 6th in the tournament.

 

This will be the first time since the 2010-2011 wrestling season that Strake Jesuit will send three wrestlers to the State Championships. These three men along with their teammates should be congratulated for their achievement.
