SJ JV Lacrosse vs. St. Pius

The JV lacrosse team took on St. Pius' varsity team at home on a cold night and came away with a gritty 12-6 win. Junior Andy Fuselier and Freshman Mateo Cardenas played extremely well in goal, while 7 players notched points to keep the Crusaders rolling to a 3-0 start. Freshman midfielder Luke Byman led the scoring with 4 goals and an assist, Freshman middie/attackman Quinn Kelliher scored 3 goals (on 3 shots), Freshman midfielder Luke Duffield scored 2 goals, Sophomore Attackman Jack Ledet had a goal and an assist, Freshman attackman Heger Davis had 2 assists, and sophomore midfielder Michael Sena had a goal. Freshman midfielder Roby Ripley dominated at the faceoff X and was second on the team in groundballs. Next up is a district matchup against Kinkaid's JV at their place on Tuesday night.
