Volunteer at Strake Jesuit
Thank you for generously volunteering your time and talents. Volunteers are an essential part of the work we do to accomplish our mission of forming Men for Others. We are thankful for you.
All volunteers who have frequent, ongoing, or recurring contact with students at Strake Jesuit must complete the CMG Safe Environment online training and pass a background check before engaging in any volunteer activity. Training and background screening must be renewed every five years to remain eligible to volunteer. This includes all parent volunteers, tutors, private instructors, and the like. No volunteer may begin until these requirements have been completed.
Please follow the steps below to complete the required training and registration so you are approved to volunteer at Strake Jesuit.
How to Volunteer
Step 1: Complete CMG Safe Environment Training
CMG Training is the online safe-environment program for adults who volunteer in roles that involve children. It is designed to help volunteers recognize common warning signs and behavior patterns that can lead to abuse, and to reinforce practical, proactive steps for prevention in any setting.
The training is a three-part video series built around realistic scenarios that takes about 60 minutes total to complete. Each segment is followed by a short questionnaire to confirm understanding.
After you complete the training, save the PDF of your CMG Training Certificate as you will need to upload it to Raptor in Step 2.
Step 2: Register as a Volunteer in Raptor
Raptor Volunteer Registration is our online system for verifying and approving volunteers. Registration includes a background check and uploading the PDF of your CMG Training Certificate.
Registration typically takes about five minutes. Please have your Social Security number available, and enter your information exactly as it appears on your government-issued identification, including your full legal name.
After you submit your application, the review process typically takes 2 to 5 business days. Once your registration is approved, you will receive an email confirmation.
