The visit of the Superior General of the Society of Jesus highlights the Jesuit mission and inspired Strake Jesuit and Cristo Rey Jesuit students to engage the frontiers of faith, learning, and service. 

After a successful engineering career at NASA and in industry, Mrs. Cheri Armstrong responded to God’s call by entering education, where she now brings her gifts of structure, problem-solving, and compassion to Strake Jesuit as a teacher, mentor, and retreat leader who supports students’ academic, personal, and spiritual growth.

Faculty and staff formation at Strake Jesuit deepens their understanding of Jesuit education and guides students in learning to see God in all things. 

Through his leadership as principal cellist, dedication to musical excellence, and commitment to faith, mentorship, and collaboration, Joshua Segraves ’28 exemplifies the Jesuit values of discipline, cura personalis, and using his talents in service of others.

For the Franklin family, Strake Jesuit became more than a school. It became a community that formed character, strengthened faith, and inspired a legacy of giving.

Each year, Strake Jesuit College Preparatory recognizes five outstanding incoming freshmen with the Ignatian Scholar Award.

The Class of 2026 is an impressive and talented mix of personalities. It includes many outstanding young men who have excelled in various areas of school life. At graduation, we recognized graduates who have merited special mention for their achievements during their years at Strake Jesuit.

On January 17, 2026, Coach Mike Kerley was inducted into the Lone Star Athletics Coaches Association Hall of Honor for Track and Cross Country.
